Requirements for Virtual learning:

  • Laptop/computer (students are required to have a laptop/computer to participate in the virtual event)*
  • Webcam
  • Students may be required to use a Gmail account to access Google Docs. If you do not have a Gmail account please use this link to create one.
  • Quiet space to minimize noise and distractions
  • Laptop/Computer volume turned all the way up
  • A headset with a microphone (noise canceling headphones and separate microphone are also okay)
  • Download Lakota Keyboard prior to the event.
  • Good internet speed to participate during the course. (Please test your internet speeds by googling “internet speed test”)
    • Recommended minimum download speeds of 30+ Mbps
    • Recommended minimum upload speeds of 8+ Mbps
    • Though the connection will work with slower speeds than those listed, we cannot guarantee a high quality connection at lower speeds.
  • *If you do not have a laptop, you may still be able to observe the course by screen mirroring your cellular device to your TV.
